About the Founder

Chris is a native of Buffalo, New York and grew up in a suburb called Clarence. After high school, Chris attended The State University of New York College at Fredonia where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1992. After working for three years in both the retail and banking industries, Chris then received his MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he graduated summa cum laude and fourth in his class in 1997. During his time at SMU, Chris worked part-time with Towers Perrin consulting and as a teacher’s assistant in business strategy.

Post-MBA, Chris stayed in Texas and worked for two years for The Sabre Group, then a subsidiary of American Airlines, holding positions in Marketing Strategy, Product Management and Business Development. Chris then moved to Wilmington, Delaware where he worked in Business Development for Bank One Card Services (now JPMorgan Chase), eventually becoming a Senior Vice President and the Director of Business Development for Co-branded Credit Cards. Some of the partnerships that were consummated under Chris’ leadership include Volkswagen, Starbuck’s, Amazon and The Walt Disney Company (arguably one of the biggest partnership deals in the history of credit cards).
